MAGELLAN LAUNCHES MAGELLAN PROFESSIONAL BRAND OF INNOVATIVE SURVEY AND GIS SOLUTIONS AT INTERGEO 2006
Munich – Intergeo Booth #C2 2028 (October 10, 2006) Magellan (formerly Thales Navigation) today launched Magellan Professional, the new brand under which it will market its survey and GIS business. The Company was established as an independent company following the August 2006 acquisition by private equity firm Shah Capital Partners. The Magellan Professional family brand is designed to leverage the 85% aided brand awareness that Magellan commands worldwide among survey and GIS customers, partners, and target audiences, while clearly conveying the Company’s commitment to providing professional solutions designed for professionals.
