Dallas, TX (AHN) - A man who wandered around Dallas for 25 days not knowing who he was or able to remember where he came from is finally speaking out about his ordeal. Joe Bieger, 59, was eventually found 20 miles from his home, not able to remember anything about his life.
Bieger was diagnosed with suffering from psychogenic fugue, a form of amnesia that is extremely rare. He'd experienced two episodes before. He's been reunited with his family and says he's regained all the memories up to the point when he walked away from his home.
Beiger now has a cell phone that has a GPS tracking device. He says he can't remember how he survived or what he ate. He was finally recognized by someone who knew him and his memory came back.
