Garmin Mobile XT Now Works with GPS Buddy

Garmin’s Mobile XT can now operate with GPS Buddy on practically any GPS mobile phone or Bluetooth wireless-enabled smartphone. This combination is designed to enhance the productivity of a workforce, since many mobile workforces already own a smartphone device. The Garmin Mobile XT software working with GPS Buddy allows a company to monitor its workforce in real time and communicate with mobile workers through any smartphone. If office needs to send an employee to a new location, they can receive voice-prompted instructions to the new destination directly on their smartphone. Currently this will be available on smartphones operating on Windows Mobile platforms but will be available on select Symbian and Palm OS handsets later this year.
The Garmin Mobile XT maps are pre-loaded on a memory card that is inserted into a smartphone, proving the handset powerful features. Workers can use their smartphone's internal GPS receiver or purchase another GPS receiver. The Garmin Mobile XT software allows the user to find millions of points of interest including restaurants, hotels, ATMs, and gas stations, etc. Depending on service availability users can additionally access location-based services such as traffic information, fuel prices, weather conditions and forecasts. Additional information and pricing can be found on http://www.gps-buddy.com.
